California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program

The California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce is a partner organization to the Grant Program. We are here to provide assistance to small businesses looking to apply.

1. Program Overview

Governor Newsom signed into law a comprehensive package providing urgent relief for the small businesses of California. The California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program (the “Program”) provides micro grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 to eligible small businesses and nonprofits impacted by COVID-19 and the related health and safety restrictions.

2. Eligibility

Small business with yearly gross revenue of $2.5 million or less (but at least $1,000 in yearly gross revenue)

Active business or nonprofit operating since at least June 1, 2019

Businesses must currently be operating or have a clear plan to re-open once the State of California permits the re-opening of the business

Business must be impacted by COVID-19 and the health and safety restrictions such as business interruptions or business closures incurred as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic

Signed certification used to certify your business

Business Financial Information

  • Most recent federal tax return filed (2019) provided in an electronic form for online upload
  • Copy of official filing with the California Secretary of State, if applicable, or local municipality for the business

Government Issued Photo Id

Such as a Driver's License or Passport
